Can I share my phone, fax machine, and computer on one phone line?
Yes, there is a switching box that can be programmed to handle up to 5 devices on one phone line. Only one of the devices can use the phone line at a time.

Is there anything to stop my telephone cord from always getting tangled?
Yes, you can install a pivoting device to help eliminate the tangle. We do not recommend these devices because they tend to cause problems like static when using them for a long period of time.

My phone shocks me, what can I do about it?
Carpet tends to cause the most static electricity. You can spray static guard on the carpet or buy a static mat to set your phone on.

Voice Mail:

If I have Voice Mail, does the Auto Attendant have to answer all my calls?
No, we can program the Voice Mail to only be a messaging center for you. However, most of the time people want a live person to answer the telephone and have the Auto Attendant answer after 5 or 6 rings as a backup to the operator.

Can I check my messages from home or vacation?
Yes, you can call a designated phone number, select your mailbox, enter your passcode, and then check your messages

How can I get my messages to call a cell phone or pager?
You can program the Voice Mail System to forward a message to your cell phone or pager.

Residential:

When is a good time to pre-wire my new home?
We like to start a pre-wire just after the electrician finishes his wiring and before the insulation. This prevents conflicts when we position our speakers, wire, and etc.

When is a good time to plan for speakers in my new home?
We recommend placing a speaker rough in after electrician has installed light fixtures or ceiling fans and before the insulation starts.

Can I add Audio-Video in my existing home?
Yes, most of the time. We need access to the attic or under the floor to fish wires down the inside walls. A two-story house needs access in the attic and under the floor.

Can I get rid of all these remotes and just use one remote?
Yes, We have a Touch Screen remote control that can be programmed to replace all of your existing remotes and display only the buttons you need.

How can I push one button and turn on or off my lights?
For certain lights we can change standard switches to smart switches/dimmers. We use a centralized keypad that communicates with the smart switches/dimmers via wire or wireless. Buttons on the keypad tell the smart switches/dimmers to turn on or off.

Security:

What kind of VCR tapes do I need to use in my recorder?
We recommend industrial grade T-160 VCR tapes. Standard VCR tapes tend to leave dirt or residue on the VCR tape heads.

Can I watch and record multiple cameras on one television monitor?
Yes, a multiplexor allows several cameras to be viewed and recorded from one TV/monitor and VCR. The multiplexor takes snap shots of each camera frame and records it on an industrial grade T-160 VCR tape or computer hard drive.

How long can I run a Cat-5 Ethernet Cable?
The maximum length for Cat-5 Ethernet Cable is 328 feet (including patch cords)

Why do I have to have a UPS (Battery Back-up) for my Computer?
Using a UPS will help keep your computer running after the power has shut off and also helps prevent any irregular power surges that might occur and damage your computer.

How can all of the computers in my business have Internet access?
By installing a router, hub, and secure firewall to network your computers together using one fast Internet connection.

Can I watch DSS satellite TV while my boat is moving?
Yes, by using a dish that tracks the satellite, you can keep watching TV even in rough water.

Will flat screen televisions work on a boat?
Yes, Plasma and LCD flat screen TV’s give you excellent pictures and saves space, which is very valuable on a boat.
